SIAA is hosting its fourth fundraiser for breast cancer awareness, following up on last year’s successful donation drive. Breast cancer research is a cause very close to our hearts, and it has touched the SIAA family more than once: some of our staff and members have lost family members to it, and some are survivors themselves.
Since we know both ends of the breast cancer experience, we founded the SIAA Project Pink in 2019. It’s a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and The IBC Network, to honor our friend who passed away from breast cancer, Lori Kunz. This money will help fund additional research to find a cure and spread awareness for inflammatory breast cancer. We chose these charities carefully; they are both highly rated charities with almost all the money going directly to research and awareness.
We’re fundraising again this year, and we invite everyone to participate! We will be matching donations up to $5,000.
If you want us to match your donation, please follow these 3 steps:

Send it to us at scott@siaaz.com and we'll match it!
Every little bit helps! Please consider supporting the millions of men and women who are fighting this disease, and let’s all support research to find a cure!
More About BCRF
Breast cancer knows no age, gender, or race. As the most common cancer in women worldwide, it remains a fact of life. Approximately 2.3 million women around the globe were diagnosed in 2021, and incidence rates are on the rise.
That’s because breast cancer has no boundaries. It is the leading cause of cancer death in the world’s poorest countries and the second leading cause of cancer death in American women. The developing world is experiencing higher mortality rates than ever before due to a lack of screening and access to treatment, and we are seeing disparities right here at home as social and economic factors create barriers to proper diagnosis and care.
We want to put an end to breast cancer. Our goal: No more fear. No more hospital visits. No more side effects or needless suffering. No more loved ones lost to breast cancer.
More About The IBC Network
What is IBC? A working definition: Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare and very aggressive disease in which cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. This type of breast cancer is called “inflammatory” because the breast often looks swollen and red, or “inflamed.”
Our mission:
-
To fund research regarding Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
-
To provide an avenue to network proactive education to the general population as well as the medical community regarding Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
