SIAA is organizing its sixth annual fundraiser to raise awareness for breast cancer, building on the success of last year’s donation drive. Breast cancer research is a deeply personal cause for us, having affected the SIAA family multiple times: some of our staff and members have lost loved ones to it, and some are survivors themselves.
Since we know both ends of the breast cancer experience, we founded the SIAA Project Pink in 2019. It’s a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and The IBC Network, to honor our friend who passed away from breast cancer, Lori Kunz. This money will help fund additional research to find a cure and spread awareness for inflammatory breast cancer. We chose these charities carefully; they are both highly rated charities with almost all the money going directly to research and awareness.
We’re fundraising again this year, and we invite everyone to participate! We will be matching donations from our members and partners up to $5,000.
If you want us to match your donation, please follow these 3 steps:

Every little bit helps! Please consider supporting the millions of men and women who are fighting this disease, and let’s all support research to find a cure!
More About BCRF
Breast cancer does not discriminate by age, gender, or race. It is the most prevalent cancer among women globally and remains a significant concern. In 2021, around 2.3 million women worldwide were diagnosed, and the incidence rates continue to climb.
This is because breast cancer knows no boundaries. It is the leading cause of cancer death in the world's poorest countries and the second leading cause of cancer death among American women. Higher mortality rates in developing countries are due to a lack of screening and access to treatment, and we also see disparities in our own country where social and economic factors hinder proper diagnosis and care.
Our mission is to eradicate breast cancer. Our vision: No more fear. No more hospital visits. No more side effects or unnecessary suffering. No more loved ones lost to breast cancer.
More About The IBC Network
What is IBC? Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare and highly aggressive disease where cancer cells obstruct lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. It is termed "inflammatory" because the breast often appears swollen and red, or "inflamed."
Our mission:
To fund research on Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
To provide a platform for proactive education to both the general public and the medical community about Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
